Red Lion Youth Football League is a full contact league consisting of evening practices, a preseason scrimmage, (4) Saturday morning games and (1) Sunday afternoon games at the Sr. High School Track field and (1) Saturday night game on Horn Field. The league is open to all 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade athletes in the Red Lion School District. Each team is divided into both Varsity and Junior Varsity squads to increase participation. Our program is designed to prepare players to participate in the Red Lion Football Program. Players will run similar offensive plays used at higher levels in the program and learn a 4-4 team defensive scheme. Our goal is to focus on fundamentals and developing player skills. NEW for 2013: The league is proud to announce an expansion for the 2013 season that will include 7th grade players. Our goal is to increase player participation at this level in both practice time and games. The current league structure of evening practices, weekend games, JV and Varsity teams will remain. The new Varsity format will introduce players to an expanded offensive playbook, additional defensive sets with base blitz packages and special teams. Register Online Today » |
